As of 2023, this is also additionally the last time where both major party nominees for the Class 1 Senate seat in California or where both candidates who were nominated by their respective major parties for the Class 1 Senate seat in California were men and this was also the last time where both major party nominees for a Class Senate seat in California or where both candidates who were nominated by their respective major parties for a Class Senate seat in California were men until 2022.
