The collared carpetshark (Parascyllium collare) is a poorly understood species of carpetshark of the family Parascylliidae endemic to the waters of eastern Australia between latitudes 26°S and 38°S. It is typically found Шаблон:Convert in depth near the floor of rocky reefs on the continental shelf, though its depth range can extend between Шаблон:Convert. At a maximum length of only Шаблон:Convert, it poses no threat to humans.[1] It is common within its range and is not targeted species. This, combined with high survival rates after discardment and a significant portion of habitat untouched by fishing are why it is listed as Least Concern by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).[2] Reproduction is oviparous and embryos feed solely on yolk.[1]
