In their second season under head coach Ray Eliot, the Illini compiled a 3–7 record and finished in sixth place in the Big Ten Conference.[1] Halfback Eddie Bray was selected as the team's most valuable player.[2]
In the final Litkenhous Ratings, Illinois ranked 35th among the nation's college and service teams with a rating of 89.6.[3]
