Although American Samoa will not participate in the 2024 presidential election because it is a U.S. territory and not a state, it will still participate in the U.S. presidential primaries and caucuses.[1]

Republican caucus

The 2024 American Samoa Republican presidential caucus will be held in March 2024,[2] as part of the Republican Party primaries for the 2024 presidential election. 9 delegates to the 2024 Republican National Convention will be allocated on a delegate selection basis.[2]

Declared candidates

Former President Donald Trump, former South Carolina Governor and Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson, Businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, and former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie have all announced their candidacies for president.[3][4][5][6][7][8]

Democratic caucus

Declared candidates

Incumbent President Joe Biden announced on April 25, 2023, his bid for a second term. He faces a primary challenge from author, progressive activist, and 2020 presidential candidate Marianne Williamson and Representative Dean Phillips.[10][11]
