Abb Takk is an Urdu private Pakistani news channel based in Karachi, owned and operated by Apna TV Group,

History

Abb Takk News was launched on 19 April 2013 by Syed Fahad Hussain Shah.[1]

AbbTakk TV has drawn criticism for its perceived imitation of India's Aaj Tak channel, even down to the logo and graphical elements.[1] The channel adopts a cautious approach, avoiding potential clashes with state institutions, such as the military and judiciary.[1]

Apna Group

The media conglomerate also operates three additional channels: APNA, a Punjabi-language news channel, and two music-oriented channels, 8XM and Jalwa.[1]

Ownership

Ownership of APNA TV Channel (Private) Limited, and hence AbbTakk TV, is equally divided between Syed Sajjad Hussain Shah, affiliated with Pakistan People's Party, and Syed Fahad Ali, who hold 50 percent of the shares each, belonging from the same family.[1]
