Abezhdan (Шаблон:Lang-fa, also Romanized as Ābezhdān; also known as Ābezhdān-e Ābandar)[1] is a city in, and the capital of, Abezhdan District of Andika County, Khuzestan province, Iran.
At the 2006 census, its population was 789 in 146 households, when it was in Abezhdan Rural District of the former Andika District of Masjed Soleyman County.[2] The following census in 2011 counted 956 people in 208 households,[3] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of the new Andika County.[4] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,673 people in 420 households, when the village had been elevated to the status of a city.[5]
