The station opened as part of the Green Line on 9 September 2011.[4]
The station is close to the Hamarain Centre[5] and the KIMS Medical Center.[6] The station is also close to a number of bus routes. Beyond this station, the metro line goes underground.[7]
This station design is totally different from other stations . As other stations have oval golden color shed. Where as Abu Baker al siddique metro station has rectangular shaped shed.
