The Ahirwar, Aharwar or Suryavanshi Ahirwar and Chaudhary are Hindu Rajput Kshatriya castes classified among the Scheduled Castes who are members of the Suryavanshi lineage of the North Indian caste, belonging to the Chawar dynasty. Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh are predominantly populated by members of the Scheduled Castes. [1][2][3]
They are present, for example, in the state of Madhya Pradesh.[4] The 2001 Census of India recorded them in the Bundelkhand area and as the largest caste group in Lalitpur district, Uttar Pradesh, with a total population 138,167.Шаблон:Citation needed
