Life

At the same time as the Constitutional Movement, Akhgar joined the ranks of the constitutionalists and during the Topkhaneh Square incident, along with other freedom fighters, he besieged the Sepehsalar Mosque and while giving a speech, he taught the warrior military drills. During the Persian campaign (World War I), he was one of the Iranian leaders who fought against the British.[7] Akhgar, during the British occupation of Bushehr, he played an important role in organizing the spontaneous movement of the people of Fars to counter British aggression.[8] Ahmad Shah Qajar awarded him the Lion and Sun in recognition of his bravery.[9] Akhgar one of the important members of National Front (Iran) along with his friends Kazem Hassibi, Ali Shayegan, Allah-Yar Saleh and Shapour Bakhtiar. He was one of the activists of the National Movement's parliamentary parties, who played a significant role in the achievement of oil nationalization. He was elected to the National Consultative Assembly for two terms as a representative.[10]
