Australian professional cycling career
He twice won the Australian national road race title in 1949, by winning a sprint point Шаблон:Convert into the Melbourne to Warrnambool Classic[1] and in 1953 by winning the championship race over Шаблон:Convert at Launceston, Tasmania.[2]
Saunders won the Blue Riband for the fastest time in the Melbourne to Warrnambool in 1949Шаблон:R and 1953.[3]
In 2010 the Footscray cycling club held an Alby Saunders Memorial criterium.[4]
