Alyona (Шаблон:Lang-ru) or Aliona is a slavic female given name derived from the Ancient Greek name Шаблон:Lang, Helenē (dialectal variant: Шаблон:Lang, Helena). Another version points to Ancient Rus', where the pagan goddess of the dawn existed. And the name was interpreted as sunny, beautiful, scarlet, chosen.
