The film features Symon Sadik, Mahiya Mahi, Joy Chowdhury, Shahiduzzaman Selim, Ali Raj, Maruf Aqib, Sujata, Chikon Ali and others. Earlier, the same name released one film directed by Shibli Sadik and the film starring Salman Shah and Shabnur. But this film is not a remake or sequel of the previous film.[1][2][3]

The shooting for two songs from the movie is taking place. The music directors for the songs are Emon Saha and Sahriar Rafat.[4]

Production

Shibli Sadik's film Ananda Ashru starring Salman Shah and Shabnur was released in 1997, a year after the untimely demise of the heartthrob actor and has since garnered a cult following. Much to the delight of the film's fans, Dhallywood is set to get another Ananda Ashru soon, announced Mostafizur Rahman Manik, the new film is not a remake or sequel of the previous one, the new film will revolve around an original story, which is now being penned by Sudipto Saeed Khan.[5]

The shooting of Ananda Ashru began on February 3 in 2018.[6] The last phase of the shooting was held at a location at Nikli Upazila in Kishoreganj on January 6 2020.[7]

Release

The film was supposed to be released on 15 January 2020, after being delayed from its initial release date of 15 January 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[8]
