Biography

Gostomelsky was born to a Jewish family[2] in Kiev, Soviet Union (now Ukraine). She immigrated to Israel with her family at age 10. She holds the most Israeli swimming records of any female swimmer.

She competed on behalf of Israel at the 2004 Summer Olympics, in Athens, Greece, and Israel at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China.[3]

At the 2005 Maccabiah Games, she won the women's 100m freestyle and set a new Maccabiah record.[4]
