It is located Шаблон:Convert from Namtsy, the administrative center of the district. Its population as of the 2002 Census was 1,271.[2]

According to OKATO, which includes federally approved names, the preferred variant is "Khatyn-Arinsky". The name of the rural settlement is spelled "Khatyn-Arynsky" per OKTMO.
