Ayyüce Türkeş Taş (born October 2, 1977, in Ankara) is a Turkish economist and politician.[1] She is one of the fifteen Adana parliamentarians at the 28th Parliament of Turkey.[2]
Education
Born in Ankara, Türkeş had both her primary, and high school education in the Turkey capital. She obtained her first degree in economics from Bilkent University and completed her masters of business administration degree from Bilgi University, She has a doctorate degree in Banking from Marmara University.[3]
Career
From 2010, she spent time working as an economist and banking expert in New York before returning to Turkey for politics, She criticized the present values of the MHP, party founded by her father as they do not represent the founder's original ideology anymore.[4][5]
She then contested after being nominated for one of Adana parliamentary seats with the İYİ Party platform during the 2023 Turkish general elections. She won and became one of the 15 Adana deputies at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.[6]
Family
Türkeş, daughter of Alparslan Türkeş, founder of the Nationalist Movement Party is married Egemen Taş, a computer engineer since 2012,[7] and a mother of two daughters. She is a sister to Yıldırım Tuğrul Türkeş, a former deputy prime minister of the Türkiye republic.[1][8]
