Baharestan (Шаблон:Lang-fa), also Romanized as Bahārestān,[1] formerly Kharkeh (خرکه),[2] is a village in, and the capital of, Hoseynabad-e Shomali Rural District of Hoseynabad District, Sanandaj County, Kurdistan province, Iran.[3] The village is populated by Kurds.[4]
At the 2006 National Census, its population was 485 in 98 households, when it was in Saral District of Divandarreh County.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 477 people in 126 households.[6] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 505 people in 124 households,[7] by which time the rural district had been separated from the county to become a part of the newly established Hoseynabad District in Sanandaj County.[8]
