Description

Bossiaea concinna is a erect, compact shrub that typically grows up to Шаблон:Cvt high and Шаблон:Cvt wide and is more or less glabrous with short side shoots ending in a sharp point. The leaves are arranged alternately and are oblong, Шаблон:Cvt long and Шаблон:Cvt wide on a petiole Шаблон:Cvt long with narrow egg-shaped stipules Шаблон:Cvt long at the base. The flowers are borne singly or in small groups on a pedicel Шаблон:Cvt long with a single bract Шаблон:Cvt long. The five sepals are joined at the base forming a tube Шаблон:Cvt long, the two upper lobes Шаблон:Cvt long and the lower lobes slightly shorter. The standard petal is Шаблон:Cvt long, bright yellow with a pinkish-red base, the wings red and Шаблон:Cvt long, and the keel Шаблон:Cvt long and dark pinkish-red. Flowering occurs from June to September and the fruit is a pod Шаблон:Cvt long.[1][2]

The species of bossiaea grows in sandy soils above the samphire zone usually within sight of a salt lake. It occurs in scattered populations in the Avon Wheatbelt, Coolgardie, Jarrah Forest] and Mallee biogeographic regions of south-western Western Australia.[2][1]

Conservation status

Bossiaea concinna is classified as "Priority Three" by the Government of Western Australia Department of Parks and Wildlife[1] meaning that it is poorly known and known from only a few locations but is not under imminent threat.[6][1]
