Шаблон:Infobox settlement Brandýsek is a municipality and village in Kladno District in the Central Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 2,200 inhabitants.

The village of Olšany is an administrative part of Brandýsek.
Geography
Brandýsek is located about Шаблон:Convert northeast of Kladno and Шаблон:Convert northwest of Prague. It lies in an agricultural landscape in the Prague Plateau.
History
The first trustworthy written mention of Brandýsek is from 1345, although there is also a mention in Wenceslaus Hajek's chronicle relating to the year 976. Olšany was first mentioned in 1316.[1]
Transport
The D7 motorway from Prague to Chomutov passes through the municipality.
Brandýsek lies on the railway line from Prague to Kralupy nad Vltavou.
Sights
Brandýsek is poor in monuments. The only cultural monument is the mining tower in the former Michal coal mine from the second half of the 19th century.[2]
