The Caucasian lynx (Lynx lynx dinniki), also known as the Caucasus lynx[1] or the eastern lynx, is a subspecies of Eurasian lynx native in the Caucasus, Iran, Turkey, and European Russia.
Conservation
It is proposed for the Caucasian lynx to be listed as Vulnerable in Iran.[2] In Azerbaijan, it is listed as Least Concern,[3] and as Critically Endangered in Georgia.[4] Some work has been done in Armenia to determine a conservation plan.[5] A new breeding population of Caucasian lynx was detected in eastern Turkey, which is facing habitat loss and prey depletion.[6]
