The main purpose of the dam is for irrigation,[1][2] where the dam provides regulated water supplies along Deep Creek, a tributary of the Mary River.
Location and features
The Cedar Pocket Dam is located about Шаблон:Convert east of Шаблон:QLDcity.
The dam wall is Шаблон:Convert high and Шаблон:Convert long and holds back Шаблон:Convert of water when at full capacity. The surface area of the reservoir is Шаблон:Convert and the catchment area is Шаблон:Convert. The uncontrolled un-gated spillway has a discharge capacity of Шаблон:Convert.[3][2] The dam is managed by Seqwater.[4]
Recreation
There is a scenic lookout at Cedar Pocket Dam, however, picnic facilities and public toilets are unavailable.
