The Central District of Dowreh County (Шаблон:Lang-fa), formerly Chegeni District (بخش چگنی),[1] formerly Dowreh-e Chegeni District (Шаблон:Lang-fa), is in Dowreh County, Lorestan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Sarab-e Dowreh.[2]
At the 2006 National Census, its population (as a part of Khorramabad County) was 31,117 in 6,657 households.[3] The following census in 2011 counted 16,190 people in 4,015 households,[4] by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Dowreh County.[2] At the latest census in 2016, the district had 15,624 inhabitants in 4,346 households.[5]
