Dilworth Coffee is an American coffee roaster headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina. The Dilworth brand roasts and sells a variety of coffees and espressos for consumers and for wholesale purposes. Along with roasting and selling its own coffee, Dilworth also sells products from brands including Monin, Two Leaves and a Bud, Torani, and Oregon Chai.
History
The company was founded in 1989 with its first coffee shop opening in Dilworth, North Carolina. In 1994, opened a second location in the South End neighborhood of Charlotte, North Carolina.
In 2010 Dilworth entered into a strategic alliance with Stockton Graham & Co. to expand roasting capabilities and to sell wholesale to other coffeehouse businesses. That same year the company's headquarters also relocated to Raleigh, NC. In 2018, the two companies merged and maintained the named Dilworth Coffee.[1]
Dilworth was selected as a strategic partner and distributor for Wake Oasis Coffee franchises in 2021.[2]
Philanthropy
Dilworth is involved in E2E International, which provides educational resources in underprivileged areas with a focus on ensuring employing after graduation. Dilworth donates 10-cents per pound of all coffee purchased from Honduras. The money goes to helping build schools, providing literacy, health, nutrition, sanitation, and opportunity to families in coffee communities.[3]
Dilworth also sponsors the annual North Carolina coffee roasters championship competition at the North Carolina State Fair.[4]
