The Eighth Federal Electoral District of Coahuila is one of the 300 Electoral Districts into which the territory of Mexico is divided and one of the 8 that are located in the State of Coahuila. It elects one deputy to the Chamber of Deputies for each three-year legislative period, by means of the first past the post system.
The eighth electoral district of Coahuila is made up of 205 electoral sections that correspond to the municipalities of Arteaga, General Cepeda, Matamoros, Parras de la Fuente, Ramos Arizpe, and the south of Torreón and Viesca . In it, there is an Electoral Registry of 251,491 people and a nominal list of 248,186 citizens.[1]
