It is a Шаблон:Frac-story fire station which was designed to appear residential, with elements of Tudor Revival style.[2]
It has also been known as the "Germantown Fire Hall and as the George W. Swint Sr. Engine Company No. 1.[2]
In 2008, it was owned by Neighborhoods Resource Center, which planned to convert it into offices.[2]
It is located just outside the boundary of the Germantown Historic District, which is also listed on the National Register.
