It was released in July 1984 as the first single from the album Kentucky Hearts. The song was Exile's third number one country hit. “Give Me One More Chance" is an upbeat country song which tells the story about a narrator who realizes the mistake he has made in a relationship and has deep remorse and regrets, and he desperately pleads for another opportunity to make things right before it's too late.
