It is the only primary school in the island, being built in the 1990s. The school is used for various competitions such as Quran competitions, Symposiums, award ceremonies, and sporting events.[1]
In 2021, the Ministry of Finance solicited a bid for the construction of eight classrooms at Goidhoo School.[2] The contract was ultimately awarded to Afami Maldives Private Limited in 2022.[3]
