Guns & Gulaabs is an Indian Hindi-language black comedy crime thriller television series on Netflix created and directed by Raj & DK.[1][2] Produced under the banner D2R Films in collaboration with Netflix,[3] the series stars Dulquer Salmaan, Rajkummar Rao, Adarsh Gourav, Goutam Sharma, Gourav Sharma, Sanchay Goswami and Gulshan Devaiah.[4][5][6]
American hard rock band called Guns N' Roses inspired the term Guns & Gulaabs in Hindi.[7] It released on 18 August 2023 on Netflix.[8][9][10] Kumar Sanu sung a romantic song title "Do Raazi" for Rajkummar Rao in series. Netflix renewed the series for a second season in Feb 2024.
Premise
Set in the 90s world of crime and violence, it depicts the story of love and innocence blending with humour and romance.

Production
Development
The series was officially announced in January 2022 by Netflix media press release.[11] The first look poster of lead cast Rajkummar Rao and Dulquer Salmaan was revealed in March 2022.[12][13]
Filming
Principal photography commenced in early January 2022 in Dehradun and Mussoorie before the official announcement.[14] Makers of the series revealed that it took almost 100 days for the shoot due to the third wave of COVID-19 in India.[15] The series was officially wrapped up shooting in April 2022.[16][17]
Marketing
Short announcement clip of the series was released by Netflix India YouTube Channel in 31 January 2022.[18] Official trailer with a release date was announced on 2 August 2023.[19][20]
Release
The series was released on Netflix in Hindi and dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.[21][22][23]
Reception
Shubham Kulkarni of Koimoi gave it a rating of 3/5 and calls it a "a brilliant idea."[24]
