Haviq (Шаблон:Lang-fa), also Romanized as Ḩavīq; also known as Hevik,[1] is a city in, and the capital of, Haviq District of Talesh County, Gilan province, Iran.[2] It also serves as the administrative center for Haviq Rural District.[3]
At the 2006 census, the city's population was 1,237 in 289 households.[4] The census in 2011 counted 4,194 people in 978 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 4,261 people in 1,169 households.[6]
