History
Inchgalbraith, is as its name implies, connected with Clan Galbraith, and was one of their strongholds.[1] The remains of their ancient castle can still be seen on it.[2] It is possibly a crannog.[3] Probably, in the late 19th century the castle restored by gravelly concrete.[4]
Geography
It is on the west side of Loch Lomond, Шаблон:Convert southeast of Luss.[2] Its greatest elevation is Шаблон:Convert.[5] The most area on the island is covered by the castle and now with the collapsed stones from the castle itself.[4]
Wildlife
Inchgalbraith was a breeding place for ospreys until 1869.[1][6]
