The Nuclear Technology/Research Center in Esfahan (مرکز بین‌المللی علوم و فنون هسته‌ای)[1] is Iran's largest atomic scientific center, located south east of Isfahan city, central Isfahan County,[2][3] and with 10MW[4] capacity.[5][6][7] Its front is Pishgam Energy Industries Corporation. It is partly surveilled by UNO International Atomic Energy Agency under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action program.[8][9]

Isfahan Nuclear District includes (mainly supplied by China):[10][11]

  • MNSR – 27 kW Miniature Neutron Source Reactor
  • Light Water Subcritical Reactor (LWSCR)
  • Heavy Water Zero Power Reactor (HWZPR)
  • Graphite Subcritical Reactor (GSCR)

It was renamed from Uranium Conversion Facility (UCF) پيش غني سازي اورانيوم كارخانه يو سي اف ايران.[12]

History

It was founded in 1970s with French assistance.[13]
