Кваме Энтони Аппиа (Шаблон:Lang-en; род. 8 мая 1954 году, Лондон, Великобритания) — американский философ, культуролог, писатель ганского происхождения[1]. Занимается вопросами политической философии, философии языка, африканской интеллектуальной истории, расовой теории, семантики, морали.
Биография
Шаблон:Заготовка раздела Отец — ашанти Джозеф Эммануэль Аппиа, дипломат, в 1977—78 годах представлял Гану в ООН, мать — англичанка Пегги Криппс, оба аристократического происхождения. Детство провёл в Кумаси, получил среднее и высшее образование в Англии.
Мать — британская аристократка Шаблон:Нп5, урождённая Криппс, дочь Стаффорда Криппса[прим. 1].
С 2014 года является профессором философии Нью-Йоркского университета.
Семья
