Шаблон:Infobox award Alisher Navoiy State Prize (Шаблон:Lang-uz-Latn-Cyrl) was an award given in Uzbek SSR and later Uzbekistan to recognize outstanding achievement in literature, arts, and architecture. The award, named after the Turkic poet and statesmen Ali-Shir Nava'i, was established on 19 September 1989.[1] From 1989 until its disestablishment in 2006, it was awarded every three years on September 1, the Independence Day of Uzbekistan.[2][3] Each recipient (known as a "laureate") received a monetary award equal to 200 times the minimum monthly wage at the time in Uzbekistan.[1] Notable recipients include Abdulla Oripov and Sherali Joʻrayev.
