Behzad Qasemi (Шаблон:Lang-fa; born September 26, 1993),[1] is an Iranian hacker and cyber security expert. He has started his hacktivist activities since 2009.[2][3] Qasemi won the golden shield of 2023 from the Iran Cyber Security Summit Award for supporting human rights in cyber space.[4]

Career

Behzad Qasemi is a hacker and cyber security expert born on September 26, 1993 in Tehran, Iran.[5] He has been working as a hacktivist in Iran's cyberspace since he was a teenager.[6] Qasemi has presented articles in the field of cyber security and also appears in television programs as a cyber security expert.[7][8][9]

Hacktivism

The hacks carried out by Behzad Qasemi with the alias «qasemi.pro» have been registered in the database of hacked websites (Zone-H).[10][11]

  • 2012: Taking the website of Charlie Hebdo magazine out of reach due to the publication of caricatures of the Prophet of Islam [2][12]
  • 2018: hacking of a number of Iranian websites in protest of the disorderly situation of the people of Khuzestan [13]
  • 2018: Hacking of the website of the Bahrain Registry Office after one of the officials of Bahrain insulted the people of Iran [14]
