Fatima Feng is a 2023 Pakistani television series directed by Fahim Burney and written by Asma Wazir Gul.[1] "Multiverse Entertainment" produced the series. Its stars Howra Batool in titular role with Usama Khan. The series first premiered on 9 October 2023 on Green Entertainment.[2]
Plot
Fatima Feng revolves around a Chinese girl who was raised in Pakistan. On the quest to find her true self, she converts to Islam and changes her name to Fatima and teaches about the life of the Prophet Muhammad. She receives Islamic knowledge from Quran and Hadith. Later, she becomes engaged to Ammar and marries him.[3]

- Usama Khan[4] as Ammar: a headstrong, sensible and free-spirited boy who is determined to rise beyond the legacy of his father's empire.
- Howra Batool[5] as Fatima Feng: a Chinese girl raised in Pakistan. Confident and care oriented but conflicted from within. Broken and lost as she lost her parents.
- Mehar Bano as Natasha: Ammar's childhood sweetheart.
- Babar Ali as Jahangir: Ammar and Maira's father. Fatima's father friend, serves as a father figure for her after her father's death.
- Farhan Ali Agha as Usman: an unconventional and open-minded religious scholar who preaches and practices the true spirit of Islam.
- Munazzah Arif as Saima: Natasha's mother and Seemi's sister.
- Tara Mahmood as Seemi: Ammar's mother and Saima's sister.

- Nauman Kahout as Raheel: wise, soft-spoken boy with a profound heart and soul who plays pivotal role in Fatima's journey of embracing Islam.[6]

- Shaheryar Sheikh as Fernandes: Afshan's abusive husband.
- Rimha Ahmed as Maira: Ammar's younger sister.
- Rida Qaiser as Afshan Fernandes: a hardworking and dedicated Christian girl employed at Fatima's office. Clawed at the hands of an abusive husband, she strives to emerge beyond the domestic plight.

The teaser for the series released on 2 October 2023 by the original network (Green Entertainment).[7]
Reception
Within release of initial episodes, Fatima Feng gained recognition from to its unique concept and story line.[8] Fuchsia Magazine praised the serial for challenging stereotypes referring to the character of Usman as often religious clerics are depicted with long beards.[9] Irfan of "Irfanistan" called it an exploration of prejudice, spirituality and self-discovery.[10]
