He was born with the name Francisco de Asís Alarcón Estaba, and is the son of Pedro Alarcón Lazarde and Rosario Estaba de Alarcón.

His poetry work is part of "Como Ángeles en llamas. Algunas voces latinoamericanas del Siglo XX".[2]

Américo Martín has described his style as "centauric" or " integralistic'.[3]

Francisco Alarcón has more than fifty published books.[4]
