Gopalpur is a block in Bhagalpur district of Bihar, India. It is one of sixteen blocks under Bhagalpur district.According to census 2011 information the sub-district code of Gopalpur Block (CD) is 01334.[1] It lies in the Anga region of India.It comes under Naugachhia subdivision of the District.
Area and Demographics
Total area of Gopalpur Block is 143 km2. Gopalpur has a population of 94,952 peoples. It has a population density of 665 inhabitants per square kilometre.[2]
Religion
The block comprises several villages and towns, each contributing to its vibrant socio-economic fabric.[3]According to Census Of India, 2011 Hinduism is the pre-dominant religion of Gopalpur with nearly 94% of the total population. Langauge
Angika is the regional language in Gopalpur Block. Hindi is the official language in the block and Urdu is the additional official language .[4][5]
