Gourdaha Halt railway station is a Kolkata Suburban Railway Station on the Canning Branch line. It is under the jurisdiction of the Sealdah railway division in the Eastern Railway zone of the Indian Railways. It serves the local area of Gaur Daha in South 24 Parganas district in the Indian state of West Bengal.[1][2]
History
In 1862, the Eastern Bengal Railway constructed a Шаблон:Track gauge-wide broad-gauge railway from Шаблон:Stnlnk to Шаблон:Stnlnk via Gourdaha Halt.[3]
Tourist Spot
A must visit Temple in Gourdaha, Canning. Ambiance is too good, you can seat calmly or pray or enjoy the scenic beauty of Maa Kali of the temples shrine. Very good place for visit. 2 minutes from Gourdaha Railway Station. It exist on very good place beside a holy pond. You absolutely must visit Sandhya Arati, Tuesday and Saturday here. Roads are too clean. Must visit here. Though it doesn't has any amenities like that of a tourist spot. You can sit there and enjoy the serenity. Most attractive is the Kalibari. It is very "Jagroto". Lots of ill peoples visit Tuesday and Saturday on Noon time to seek blessings from the Godess.
Electrification
Electrification from Шаблон:Stnlnk to Шаблон:Stnlnk including Gourdaha Halt was completed with 25 kV AC overhead system in 1965–66.[4]
Station complex
The platform is very much well sheltered. The station possesses many facilities including water and sanitation. There is a proper approach road to this station.[5]
