The legislature convened for the first time on 5 November 2019.

Election

Шаблон:Main The 65 members of the National Assembly consist of 57 MPs elected in single-member constituencies elected by first-past-the-post, six members appointed by the governing party, and two ex-officio members being the President and Speaker.

The 2019 Botswana general election was held on 23 October 2019. It saw the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) retain its legislative majority. Шаблон:Election results
