The 2023–24 Tanzanian Premier League (known as the NBC Premier League for sponsorship reasons) is the 59th season of the Tanzanian Premier League, the top-tier football league in Tanzania (mainland only), since its establishment in 1965.
The season started on 15 August 2023. Young Africans are the defending champions for the second consecutive season, clinching their 29th Premier League title during the previous season.[1][2]
16 teams contest the league. The winners and runner-ups qualify for the Champions League. The third-placed team qualify for the Confederation Cup. The thirteenth and fourteenth-placed teams qualify for the Tanzanian Premier League play-offs. The bottom two teams are relegated to the Tanzanian Championship League.

JKT Tanzania won the 2022–23 Tanzanian Championship League title to earn promotion, alongside runners-up Tabora United. They replaced the 2022–23 Tanzanian Premier League bottom two teams, Polisi Morogoro and Ruvu Shooting. Third-placed Championship side Mashujaa defeated fourteenth-placed Premier League side Mbeya City in a play-off to take their place in the league.

Tanzanian Premier League play-offs
The 13th and 14th placed teams qualify for a two-legged relegation play-off, with the winners remaining in the Tanzanian Premier League and the losers competing in another play-off against the 3rd-placed team from the 2023–24 Tanzanian Championship League for the final place in the 2024–25 Tanzanian Premier League.
