Шаблон:Use mdy dates Шаблон:Infobox NCAA football yearly game The 2023 Sun Bowl is a college football bowl game that is scheduled to be played on December 29, 2023, at the Sun Bowl in El Paso, Texas. The 90th annual Sun Bowl game will feature teams from the Atlantic Coast Conference and the Pac-12 Conference. The game is scheduled to kickoff at 12:00 p.m. MST and will be shown on CBS. The Sun Bowl will be one of the 2023–24 bowl games concluding the 2023 FBS football season.The bowl game will be sponsored by Kellogg's Frosted Flakes breakfast cereal, the game will be officially known as the Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl, based on its mascot, Tony the Tiger.

Teams

The bowl features the Oregon State Beavers of the Pac-12 Conference against the independent Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

This will be the third meeting between Oregon State and Notre Dame. The Beavers defeated the Fighting Irish in both previous meetings, both of which have been in bowl games; defeating them 41–9 in the 2001 Fiesta Bowl and again in the 2004 Insight Bowl by a score of 38–21.

Oregon State Beavers

Шаблон:Main The Beavers enter the game with an 8–4 record (5–4 in the Pac-12), tied for fourth place in the conference and ranked #19 in the College Football Playoff rankings.

This will be Oregon State's third Sun Bowl; the Beavers previously won the 2006 game over Missouri 39–38, and then defeated Pittsburgh 3–0 in the 2008 game.

Notre Dame Fighting Irish

This will be Notre Dame's second Sun Bowl; the Fighting Irish previously won the 2010 game over Miami (FL) by a score of 33–17.
