Tennessee state elections in 2024 will take place on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Primary elections for the United States Senate, United States House of Representatives, Tennessee Senate, and Tennessee House of Representatives, as well as various judicial retention elections, including the election of a Tennessee Supreme Court justice, which will take place on August 1, 2024.

Supreme Court

Retention elections (August 1, 2024)

Incumbent Tennessee Supreme Court Justice Dwight E. Tarwater was nominated by Governor Bill Lee to fill the vacancy left by the retirement of Justice Sharon G. Lee.[3] On March 9, 2023, his nomination was confirmed by the Tennessee General Assembly. His term began on September 1, 2023.[4]

He will have a retention election on August 1, 2024.[5]
