Established on 1 April 2005, it was previously known as the Chinese Language Service in 1946, the Green Network in 1959 and Radio 5 in 1993. Ai FM became a 24-hour radio station on 28 December 1994.[1]
Dialect News History
Since 1946, the radio station has introduced news time slots in dialects, which has been one of its characteristics for more than 70 years. At that time, news in five dialects was broadcast, including news in Hainan dialect that had stopped broadcasting. Dialect news has been broadcast separately at different times for many years. Since 2005, dialect news has been changed to centralized and integrated broadcasting from 8: 00 to 8: 30 every night. 10 minutes for each news segment.
Dialect news period
From April 1st, 2017, each segment of dialect news was shortened from 10 minutes to 5 minutes, and it was split and broadcast in sections. Love FM is the only Chinese radio station broadcasting dialect news in Malaysia at present. The channel that broadcasts dialect news in Singapore is New Media Radio]. Love FM currently broadcasts news in four dialects: Quanzhang dialect Fujian dialect, Chaozhou dialect, Hakka dialect and Cantonese.
At present, each news segment is about 5 minutes, which is scheduled to be broadcast after the Chinese news bulletin every hour in the evening.
- Monday to Sunday (daily): 8: 05pm ( Fujian dialect), 9: 05pm (Chaozhou dialect), 10: 05pm (Hakka dialect) and 11: 05pm (Cantonese).
Note: During the reporting period of the National Assembly, the news of Chaozhou language is broadcast at 9: 10 pm from Monday to Thursday.
History
- On April 1, 1946, after the end of World War II, the Chinese Radio Station in Malaysia, a subsidiary of Radio Television Malaysia with its headquarters in Singapore, began to resume operation.
- It was officially named "Rancangan Hijau" in 1959, and it was broadcast live from 6: 30 am to 11: 00 pm every day.
- In 1989, it was renamed as "Rangkaian Hijau".
- In 1993, it was renamed "Radio Lima" to coordinate with the new reform, reorganization and unification of Malaysia Radio and Television.
- On January 1, 1995, it began to broadcast live for 24 hours, in line with the purpose of Malaysia Radio and Television (entertainment, information and education).
- In 1998, the Malaysian Radio and Television Station unified its name and was renamed "Radio Malaysia Saluran Lima" (RMS 5 for short).
- On April 1st, 2000, the name was changed back to "Radio 5" (R5) after the reform.
- On April 1st, 2005, under the call of the former Minister of Information Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabiri, it was named "AI FM", which was called "Love, Love, Freedom".
- In 2010, I changed the radio station to call: Love, freedom, your family's radio station
