Aliaa Saleh (born 4 August 2004) is an Egyptian rhythmic gymnast.[1] She is a multiple time African champion.

Career

Aliaa debuted internationally as a junior at the 2018 African Championships in Cairo, she won gold in teams, with hoop and clubs, silver in the All-Around and with ball as well as bronze with ribbon.[2]

In 2019 she was selected for the inaugural junior World Championships in Moscow, Egypt was 23rd in teams and she finished 16th with ball and 46th with clubs.[3]

As a senior, at the 2020 African Championships in Sharm el-Sheikh, she won gold in teams and silver with ball.[4]

In 2022 she took part in the World Cup in Baku, taking 35th place in the All-Around, 37th with hoop, 25th with ball, 35th with clubs, 39th with ribbon.[5] In June she competed at the African Championships in Cairo, she won gold in teams, in the All-Around, with ball and ribbon and silver with hoop and clubs.[6][7][8][9][10] In September she was selected for the World Championships in Sofia, she was 45th in the All-Around, 42nd with hoop, 37th with ball, 56th with clubs and 58th with ribbon.[11][12]

She started the 2023 season by taking part in the World Cup in Sofia, finishing 34th in the All-Around, 25th with hoop, 33rd with ball, 28th with clubs and 46th with ribbon.[13] At the 2023 African Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships in Moka she won gold in teams and with ball, silver in the All-Around and with hoop.[14][15][16][17]
