Alireza Jadidi (Шаблон:Lang-fa, born 11 Feb 1989) is an Iranian volleyball player. He played for the first time on a national team and got fifth place in the 2005 FIVB Volleyball Boys' U19 World Championship.[1] In 2007, he was once again invited to the national team by Jovica Cvetković and got first place in the 2007 Asian Youth Boys Volleyball Championship.[2] He won the world championship with a junior volleyball team in 2007 FIVB Volleyball Boys' U19 World Championship,[3][4][5][6][7] in Mexico. He became Asian champion with Iran team 2008 Asian Junior Men's Volleyball Championship[8] and he was the best blocker at that tournament. In 2009 FIVB Men’s Junior World Championship.[9][10] Iran finished in seventh place in Pune, India Alireza Jadidi added 12 points in the victory. Jadidi Became the best blocker on the senior team in 2012 Asian Men's Volleyball Cup. He was named 3rd best blocker among world clubs at 2013 FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship,[11] in Brazil. He was chosen as best blocker of Iranian Volleyball Super League for several time years. He was a member of Iran men's national volleyball team.[12][13][14][15][16][17]

Jadidi started playing professional volleyball in 2004 by playing for Sanam Tehran Sports Club,[18] going on to play for Matin Varamin VC,[19] Saipa Tehran,[20][21] Damash Gilan,[22] and Kalleh Mazandaran. Jadidi's first championship experience in the Iranian Volleyball Super League was with Sanam Tehran and in the 2011–2012 seasons he played for Kalleh Mazandaran.[23][24][25][26]

National

In 2004, Jadidi was invited by Ivans Bugajenkovs to Iran's under 19 volleyball national team. Jadidi came 5th place with his team in the 2005 FIVB Volleyball Boys' U19 World Championship[27] in his first national match. He was invited to the Iranian national volleyball team again by Jovica Cvetković in 2007 and won 1st place in the 2007 Asian Youth Boys Volleyball Championship[28] of Malaysia. Jadidi also won 1st place at the 2007 FIVB Volleyball Boys' U19 World Championship[29][30] again in Mexico. The championship was the first time the Iranian national volleyball team took part in a worldwide competition.

In 2008, Jadidi won 1st place in the 2008 Asian Junior Men's Volleyball Championship[31] in Tehran, Iran and was named the best blocker in Asia.

In 2008 Jadidi was invited to the senior Iran men's national volleyball team,[32] for the first time, by Zoran Gajić.[33]

In 2012 Jadidi got 2nd place in 2012 Asian Men's Club Volleyball Championship[34][35][36] and he was named the best blocker among Asian Volleyball clubs.

He was in Iran men's national volleyball team[37][38] when Julio Velasco was the coach of Iran men's national volleyball team when playing in the world league. After playing for Velasco, Jadidi was chosen for the national team by Slobodan Kovač again.

In 2013, Jadidi was rewarded for 3rd middle blocker and 6th place Serve ranking when playing in Volleyball world club championship of Brazil[39][40] by Kalleh Mazandaran[41] team.
