Шаблон:Infobox song "All Jacked Up" is a song co-written and recorded by American country music artist Gretchen Wilson. The song was released by Epic Records Nashville as the lead single from her second studio album of the same name on August 1, 2005 to country radio. Gretchen Wilson wrote the song with frequent collaborator John Rich and Vicky McGehee, with the former two and Mark Wright producing the song.
The song received favorable reviews from music critics, but many negatively compared it to her debut single "Redneck Woman" (2004). The song broke a record for the highest debut on the Hot Country Singles & Tracks by a female artist when it debuted at number 21;[1] the record was later broken with Carrie Underwood's "So Small". Despite the record-breaking debut, the song only reached number eight on the chart, becoming the album's only top ten hit and Wilson's fifth and final top ten to date on the country charts.
Critical reception
Kevin John Coyne, reviewing the song for Country Universe, gave it a negative rating. He said that she was trying way too hard to recreate "Redneck Woman"[2]
Music video
The music video premiered on July 29, 2005, and was co-directed by Wilson with Deaton-Flanigen The video features cameo appearances by Kid Rock, Hank Williams Jr., Charlie Daniels and Larry the Cable Guy, who appears as both himself and an angry transvestite.
Chart performance
On the week of August 6, 2005, "All Jacked Up" debuted at number 21 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, breaking the record held by Shania Twain's "I'm Gonna Getcha Good!" (2002) for the highest debut on the chart by a female artist. Wilson's record was later taken when Carrie Underwood debuted at number 20 on August 18, 2007 with her single "So Small". The song reached the top ten in its third week on the chart at number ten but began slowly falling. The song reached a disappointing peak of number eight in, coincidentally, its eighth week on the chart; "All Jacked Up" would spend twenty weeks on the chart. The song was the only top ten from the album as the follow-up singles ("I Don't Feel Like Loving You Today", "Politically Uncorrect", and "California Girls") only entered the top thirty of the chart. "All Jacked Up" is also Wilson's fifth and to date, final top ten hit at country radio.
"All Jacked Up" debuted at number 97 on the Billboard Hot 100 the week of August 20, 2005. The song entered the top fifty the week of September 24, 2005 at number 47. The song reached its peak position of number 42 the next week. The song overall spent eleven weeks on the chart, becoming Wilson's most recent entry on the Hot 100 to date. Although, some of her later songs did enter the Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart such as "I Don't Feel Like Loving You Today" and "Work Hard, Play Harder".
