The alpine cool-skink (Carinascincus greeni),[1] also known commonly as the northern snow skink, is a species of lizard in the family Scincidae. The species is endemic to Tasmania in Australia.

Etymology

The specific name, greeni, is in honor of Tasmanian ornithologist Robert "Bob" Green.[2]

Habitat

The preferred natural habitats of C. greeni are rocky areas and freshwater wetlands, at altitudes higher than Шаблон:Cvt, above the tree line.[3]

Reproduction

C. greeni is ovoviviparous.[1] Litter size is two or three newborns.[3]
