Life
Hazard was a triplet born in 2000 with her two brothers. They all liked football but it was Amelia who persevered if the weather was poor. She trained with Arsenal but each year she found that she had not made the cut. However she believed in her own talent and again she persevered. She obtained a degree in sport and exercise science from the University of Hertfordshire.[2]
Club career
Milton Keynes Dons
Hazard came through Milton Keynes Dons youth system, going into the senior team during the 2016–17 season while the team was playing in the FA Women's Premier League South East Division One.[3]
Arsenal
In February 2018, Hazard signed with the FA Women's Super League team Arsenal.[4] She made her debut for the club as a substitute on 2 December 2018 in a 2–0 defeat to fellow title challengers Manchester City[5] and made her first start three days later in a 5–0 victory over Charlton Athletic in the League Cup.[6]
London Bees
In August 2019, Hazard joined FA Women's Championship club London Bees[7] as she wanted to make sure that she regularly played.[2] Her team were relegated in 2021 and she was offered her first professional position with Lewes.
Lewes
Hazard joined Lewes as a professional in 2021. The team are unusual because they spend the same amount of money on their men's and their women's teams.[2]
International career
Hazard has been capped by England at several youth levels.[8] In March 2019, Hazard was called up to the England under-19 team during 2019 UEFA Women's Under-19 Championship qualification, playing in a 7–0 win over Turkey.[9] She received her first call up for an under-21 training camp in October 2019.[10] In a match against China she came on as a substitute and scored the fifth goal.[11]
