Anubrata Chatterjee (born 1 June 1985). He is an Indian tabla player of the Farrukhabad gharana of Hindustani classical music.[1] He is also the son of tabla maestro Pandit Anindo Chatterjee.

Early life and education

His debut as an accompanying artist was alongside Pandit Hari Prasad Chaurasia, and he subsequently collaborated with eminent musicians in the Indian classical music realm, including Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Pandit Birju Maharaj, Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma, Ustad Shahid Parvez, T.H. Vikku Vinayakram, and others worldwide.[2]

Anubrata has demonstrated his prowess both as a soloist and accompanist through his tabla renditions, participating in numerous duet performances with his father. He has actively contributed to the 'parampara,' expanding upon his father's style and developing his own unique collection. Internationally, he made his solo debut on B.B.C. World Radio in the U.K. in 1991, subsequently performing at renowned venues and festivals globally, including Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Centre Of Performing Arts, Washington DC; Esplanade Theatres, Singapore; World Percussion Festival, Chicago; Jerash festival, Jordan; Corfu festival, Greece; Dubrovnic Festival, Croatia; Namaste India Festival, Japan; Reit Burg Museum, Zurich, and more.[2]
