Aqda (Шаблон:Lang-fa, also Romanized as ‘Aqdā; also known as Aghda)[1] is a city in, and the capital of, Aqda District of Ardakan County, Yazd province, Iran,[2] and also serves as the administrative center for Aqda Rural District.[3]

At the 2006 census, its population was 1,583 in 432 households.[4] The following census in 2011 counted 1,809 people in 566 households.[5] The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,754 people in 602 households, all Persians.[6]

The city was founded by one of the military commanders of Yazdegerd I, the Sasanian ruler of Iran from 399 to 420.Шаблон:Sfn
