Шаблон:Infobox radio show Australian Bride is a 1946 Australian radio serial.[1]

It was written by Allison Ind, a US Colonel stationed in Australia during the war.[2]

According to the ABC Weekly "the serial strives to show that strength of character leads to ultimate success and reasonable happiness in any country, and that adjustments will be required of every individual, wherever she may be. It tries to bring the composite American scene into focus, and not the over-glamourised versions too often seen on the screen; to point out the basic similarities of Australians, Americans, and the British race generally, and yet to show that there are different ways of thinking and doing."[3]

The show was commissioned by the ABC to replace The Lawsons. Frank Clelow of the ABC said "The theme has great attractiveness as a serial subject, and apart from the tremendous interest it is expected to arouse for its qualities as entertainment, it should promote mutual understanding and friendship between Australia and America."[4]

The Argus said "The sooner this tedious young female stops her ranting, the better for everybody. Tuning into somewhere in her 70th episode, I found the whole scene was conducted in a voice bordering on hysteria, in which she keeps on begging her husband not to get emotional, but to come in and have tea. And at the close of the session we still didn't know whether that boy got around to having his tea or not. Terribly un-satisfying for all concerned. If many of our Allied servicemen collected brides of this type, it is a wonder they are not coming back here by the boatload."[5]
